Product Trial & Return Policy

Overview

Trade Perfumes is an online marketplace connecting buyers with verified independent sellers of authentic new and select pre-owned fragrances. All sales are final unless a product is explicitly marked as eligible for a 5-Day Trial or qualifies under Buyer Protection. Return eligibility is determined per product and is clearly disclosed on each product page.

Trial Eligibility (Important)

Only products explicitly labeled as “5-Day Trial Eligible” qualify for trial returns. Products that do not display this label are final sale and not eligible for returns, except where Buyer Protection applies.

5-Day Trial Terms

For products marked as 5-Day Trial Eligible:

  • The trial period begins on the delivery date.
  • Buyers must submit a return request within 5 calendar days of delivery.
  • The 5-day period applies to submitting the request, not shipping the item.
  • Once approved, the buyer may ship the item back according to the provided instructions.

Returned items must:

  • Be in the same condition as received.
  • Show no additional wear, damage, or alteration.
  • Contain at least 95% of the original fragrance volume unless otherwise specified.
  • Include all original packaging, seals (if applicable), and accessories.

Buyer Protection Coverage

Buyers may qualify for Buyer Protection if:

  • The item received is not authentic or not as described.
  • The item arrives damaged, leaking, incomplete, or incorrect.
  • The seller fails to ship within the required timeframe.
  • An approved return request is submitted within the applicable trial period.
  • All Buyer Protection claims are reviewed and decided by Trade Perfumes.

Return Approval

Requirements

  • All returns require prior approval.
  • Items returned without authorization or sent to the wrong address may be refused.

Return requests must be submitted through Trade Perfumes Customer Support and include:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos or documentation, if applicable
  • Requests are reviewed within 2–3 business days.

Return Shipping

  • Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless covered under Buyer Protection.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Return addresses are provided only after approval.
  • Items are typically returned directly to the seller unless otherwise specified.

Refund Processing & Escrow

  • Payments are processed at checkout and held in escrow by Trade Perfumes.
  • Funds are released to the seller after delivery confirmation or trial completion.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after inspection.
  • Refunds may be reduced or denied if return conditions are not met.

Final Notes

  • Trade Perfumes does not operate a central warehouse.
  • Trade Perfumes is the final decision-maker for return approvals and Buyer Protection claims.
  • Abuse of the trial or return system may result in account restrictions.
